Dover’s Christmas celebration will include a Christmas Market, live entertainment, thrilling Christmassy activities, and an immersive evening of Christmas illumination, including a lantern parade throughout the town centre to follow the festive splendour of Dover’s Christmas lights.
Visitors visiting White Cliffs Country seeking Christmas shopping, winter sightseeing, or a pre-Christmas getaway may join inhabitants of Dover’s Heritage Quarter, where the holiday excitement starts at midday.
Christmas crazy golf, escape rooms, live performances, and Ceramic Art Dover’s raku firing and interactive workshops will all be held at the Ladywell Car Park, which is located behind Dover’s historic Maison Dieu. You will be able to purchase from the artisan stalls and sample the Christmas Market’s food and beverages.
The lantern procession will begin at 4 p.m. and will brighten the town as night falls, along with Dover’s Christmas lights. Dover’s Future Foundry, which produced the extremely popular Walk With Amal event “Light Leads The Way” in Dover in October 2021, will lead the parade, which will feature thrilling enormous lanterns.
On Small Business Saturday, December 4th, visitors to Dover will be able to take full advantage of the free parking at Dover District Council car parks around the district, as the Council aims to promote local companies.
