Last year’s Farrier competition was such a huge success that they’re hosting their second annual competition on Saturday, 28th August. Come and support the competitors as their blacksmith skills are put to the test! they’re delighted that the competition will be judged by the renowned farrier, Rob Shave. They’re grateful to Stromsholm who are kindly providing all the steel on the day as well as the competition prizes!
Why not make a day of it by pre-ordering a picnic from The Bakery to enjoy in their beautiful grounds, or book a table for lunch at The Tack Room restaurant. Enjoy an ice cream, explore the rest of our 5-acre site including their exhibitions, and have the chance to meet their retired racehorses in the Rothschild Yard, learn about the history of horseracing and discover Newmarket’s royal connections. It’s the perfect way to kick-start the Bank Holiday weekend!
