RHS Bridgewater will also be celebrating 70 years of Queen Elizabeth’s reign during half term with performances from the Rajasthan Heritage Brass Band, Astley Youth Band and Farnworth and Walkden Band, along with the commemorative planting of the final tree in The Queen’s Green Canopy in Victoria Meadow.

Thursday 2 June
The Queen’s Green Canopy Finale – 2pm, Victoria Meadow
Their Woodland team will be planting the final tree for the Jubilee to commemorate Her Majesty The Queen’s 70 years of service to the nation. Come along and celebrate with fanfare from the Rajasthan Heritage Brass Band.
Performances from the Rajasthan Heritage Brass Band – (timings TBC)
Hear the talented musicians from Jaipur, Rajasthan’s renowned Pink City, where the surrounding villages make up the brass core of this rousing new ensemble. Discover the sounds of trumpets, trombones, euphoniums and sousaphones, supplemented with clarinets, against an insistent background of percussion on the side, bass and dhol drums.

Astley Youth Band and Farnworth and Walkden Band will be joining them to deliver some Jubilee fanfare. Come along to the gardens, enjoy a picnic and listen to them play a celebratory tune or two.
