From craft and planting activities to fruit and veg spotting in the Kitchen Garden, join The Vegetable Nannies for an interactive experience, or explore a family trail with plenty of grow-your-own ideas to inspire you along the way.

Sow Awesome family trail
Saturday 27 May – Sunday 4 June
10am – 6pm, self-led trail
Follow our grow-your-own-themed trail around the garden and see if you can spot the fruit and vegetable superheroes along the way. Discover their amazing powers and find out how you can grow them at home.

Herb head planting
Saturday 27 May
2.5-hour sessions from 1pm – 3.30pm, in the marquee
Get creative and decorate a decomposable paper cup, followed by the chance to plant your own herb seeds and grow your own herb heads at home!
Recommended for ages 3+
Kitchen Garden fruit and veg spotter trail
Monday 29, Wednesday 31 May and Thursday 1 June
10am – 6pm, Kitchen Garden
Discover so many different varieties of fruit and veg growing and be sure to collect a packet of seeds while you’re there.

Let’s Grow! The Vegetable Nannies walkabout theatre

Come over and say hello to The Vegetable Nannies! Two eccentric gardeners who are out for a day trip with their family of little ones, and could use a hand with taking care of their beautiful bouncing baby fruits and vegetables. Plunge Boom, established by actor and writer Ben Faulks (CBeebies Mr Bloom), brings you this unique, interactive experience.

Eating the rainbow with The Mini Makery

Come along to a workshop run by The Mini Makery and try something new! Feed your ‘gut pet’ with smoothies and create artwork with fruit and veg.

Storytelling with Colour the Clouds
