General Skate
Join Plymouth Pavilions Ice Rink for a General Skate session, whether it’s your first time on the ice or you’re a regular visitor, these sessions are suitable for all with skating aids available to hire for their younger skaters. Bring your own skates and save £2.00.
Off-Peak Skate
If you head down to the Rink at one of these quieter times you will benefit from their special Off-Peak prices. Perfect if you want to skate during the day in a quieter, more relaxed environment.
Flexi Skate
This interchangeable session provides variety week after week. With options such as Freestyle skating, sensory skate, themed discos, students only and many more we are sure to have something to suit all needs. Keep checking our socials and website for upcoming sessions.
Ice Disco: Saturdays from 6pm
Come and get your boogie on at the Ice Disco! We want to see your best dance moves – but on ice! Join everyone for an evening of the latest chart tunes whilst you enjoy skating under the colourful disco lights, bring your family or friends to have a fun-filled evening at the Rink. Ice Discos are available for all ages, however, they do ask that children under 8 years be accompanied by an adult*. *1 adult may accompany 3 children under 8.
Chilly Tots
If you’re looking for a fun new activity to enjoy with your toddlers and young children, then Chilly Tots the dedicated Ice Skating session for under 8s is definitely for you! Specially designed with kids in mind, they section off the Ice Rink to give you a dedicated space and to allow them to bring fun toys and props onto the Ice, including Cosy Coupe cars, and plastic see-saws! Children and adults can learn and play on the ice together in this fun and friendly relaxed environment.
Ice Skating will not only increase your child’s confidence but will also aid with their coordination at the same time as giving them an opportunity to meet other children!
P.S. Don’t be put off if you aren’t the best skater yourself, their trained Ice Stewards are on hand to help out. With all the props and skating aids on the Ice, there will always be something to keep you, and your little one, on your feet.
Diddy Disco
All the best bits of a Chilly Tots session but with the full disco experience!
Silver Skate
A session for 50 years young and above wanting to learn a new skill or practice an existing one. Enjoy the Ice Rink with like-minded skaters in a quieter and more relaxed atmosphere.
Adult Ice Hockey
Every Wednesday 18.00 – 19.30 £7.50
At Plymouth Pavilions, they host an open for all Ice Hockey session! With their resident Ice Hockey Coach leading the session, you will learn the basic to advance skills required for Ice Hockey. Drills, training and small friendly games are what you can expect when you hit the ice! They also have local Ice Hockey teams which hire the rink and train for away games…
All abilities are welcome, however, if you are a beginner or are worried about jumping straight into Hockey, then why not try the Stick & Puck session instead?
Junior Ice Hockey
Every Wednesday 16.30 – 17.30 £6.00
Junior Ice Hockey is available for people ages under 16 years. Sessions teach team tactics, practical Ice Hockey skills and rules of the game, with friendly matches to show off your new skills!
There are knowledgeable staff on the ice during all of these sessions to teach new skills and referee small games.
Stick and Puck
Every Sunday 18.30 – 19.30 £7.00
New to ice hockey and want time to practice before entering team sessions? A seasoned hockey player that wants a little time to practice outside of the team environment? Stick and puck is for you and suitable for all ages!
Practice stick handling, shooting and footwork in a non-competitive atmosphere where games and slap shots are strictly not allowed. Whilst they recommend you wear full padding, helmets are the only necessity to protect you from any stray pucks, don’t worry, you can use theirs if you don’t have your own!
Adult Ice
A self ran scrimmage, open to all hockey players wanting to play friendly and casual games. The age restriction is 16+ for this session.
