As part of its popular Santa Specials programme, Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch Railway have been running these specials since 1981. Despite the fact that plenty has evolved in the previous 40 years, the essence of the experience has remained – steam trains and visits from Santa Claus.
The following are examples of what you will experience at the Santa Specials; you will experience a train ride starting at New Romney that ends at Hythe Station. You will also receive a return journey. You will then be able to pay a visit to Father Christmas in his magical Grotto where you can tell him what you would like for Christmas and have a little chat! Then receive a wonderful present picked by Santa!
There will be plenty of festive treats and refreshments available for you and your family. You are then able to embark on an adventure through the Model Railway exhibition.
