As an alternative to expensive amusement parks, Lullingstone offers a fantastic family day out in all weather conditions. The villa was built in the beautiful Darent Valley in Kent, where successive rich owners transformed it to suit their own preferences and beliefs. Today’s visitors may still enjoy the impressive mosaics and artwork on display, as well as the many wall paintings, a heated indoor pool, and a “house-church.” The villa is alive with activity as a light show that was specifically commissioned serves to illuminate the house and dedicated galleries house Lullingstone’s intriguing collection of Roman artefacts.
