Rosliston Forestry Centre

Rosliston Forestry Centre is ideal for a long leisurely dog walk. This walk consists of a 2.6 km loop that features a beautiful lake. This walk is filled with adventure for your dogs and even for the children. This forestry centre is perfect fir your pets as they can run around free and even interact with other families and dogs . They even have lodges where dogs are welcome to stay, some lodges even allow up to two dogs to stay!

Barton Pool

This modest wetland reserve is overlooked by hundreds of commuters every day because it is located next to the main commuter line between Long Eaton and Nottingham. The railway embankment, on the other hand, is included within the reserve’s boundaries, and this small area serves as a safe haven for a variety of unique plants. This is a brilliant walk for dogs as it tends to be quieter and they can venture off watching the water and discovering new plants to smell!

Broadhurst Eden Wood

This high-altitude reserve in the county’s north is home to a variety of wildlife, with oak and birch woodland providing welcome refuge. Because there are so few other sections of woods in the area, birds in particular take advantage of the trees. A total of 64 bird species have been reported on the reserve’s 14 acres, with 41 of them having bred there. With a variety of sounds, wildlife and nature your dogs will be so excited to discover the mystery sounds and smells!A tiny pond at the entrance has been colonised by frogs, palmate newts, and a variety of invertebrates.
