Halloween Parades are becoming more well known and we understand why!

We have lined up some exciting Halloween parades that are due to take place this weekend! There will be plenty across the UK that will be preparing you for Halloween, you will meet plenty of creepy characters whilst being united with the locals in the area! These will be free to watch as well so are perfect if you have nothing booked already!

Katumba Halloween Carnival

Liverpool

Sunday 31 October, 5pm – 9pm

Each year, during October, Katumba creates plenty of events in Liverpool with reference to the Katumba Halloween Parade that takes place in Liverpool City Centre. This parade is considered to be the largest Halloween parade within the North-West. With people coming from combined arts and professional artists joining from anywhere across the UK to work with the locals in order to create a brilliant outdoor Halloween spectacle that represents themes that will refer back to previous and ancient traditions.

The parade is always designed to be immersive, bold and inspiring. Their parades tend to consist of theatre, dance, lights, fire and drums with much much more! This year’s Katumba Halloween Parade is called ‘Routes and Roots – The Festival of the African Diaspora, with a wonderful lineup for the big day with brilliant events preparing everyone for the spooky parade that will be coming to the city centre! This year will be all about celebrating the culture and heritage of people from the African Diaspora throughout Black History Month whilst bringing the community together!

Halloween Community Parade

Sunderland

Friday 29th October, 5:30pm

Join Sunderland locals at the city centre to watch this wonderful parade on a frightful Friday night as the Halloween Community Parade returns! The streets will be filled with terror as some strange people turn up and take over the city centre. The parade will begin at the Museum and Winter Gardens, it will then move to the city centre, before arriving at the Crowtree Site that is opposite new Look, where the parade will come to an end.

Halloween Parade

Saturday 30th October

This is the first-ever Halloween Parde to arrive at Southend! There will be plenty of frightening fun available for families this spooky season! This parade will include many talents. Including drummers, huge puppets, spectacular lights and a wonderful firework finale! They love when their community gets involved and a lot of the floats and paraders will be from the local community.

As it is a first-time event, we do not have much information on the event but we are sure it is going to be insane and it’s even better if you can say you went to hopefully the first of many Halloween Parades in Southend.
