Last-Minute Pumpkin Picking in the East Midlands
With either tickets still available or patches that do not require tickets, we have listed some pumpkin patches you can visit this week for any last-minute pumpkins!
Doddington Hall & Gardens
Main St, Doddington, Lincoln LN6 4RU
*No booking required*
Do you like to find the biggest, roundest, or gnarliest pumpkin? This October, choose your pumpkin from the Doddington Hall Pumpkin Patch and take it home to carve a spooky scene for your front door and pick up some wonderful seasonal food recipes at the Farm Shop.
From the Kitchen Garden, follow the signs to the pumpkin patch. Because it can get muddy, it is recommended that you wear wellies. Halloween costumes are encouraged!
Entrance is free, but you must pay for everything you choose (cash only). Prices start at £2 and go up depending on the size.
*Please note that dogs (on leashes) are only permitted in the area next to the patch, not inside.*
Maxey’s Farm Shop
Hockerton Road, Kirklington NG22 8PB Kirklington
*No booking required*
Pick a Pumpkin began in a tiny area next to the store in 2012. Customers would select their pumpkin and summon James over to chop it off with his grandmother’s long-handled secateurs. It has expanded onto larger areas of the property throughout the years. They’re renowned as the ‘Pumpkin Farm Shop’ for kilometres. From the extra food to the gift tent, they adjust each year to consumer requests! As a display for the delicacies you may buy in the shop to take home and enjoy, all of the stands are cooking or selling many of their homemade items.
Bell’s Pumpkin Patch
The Bell family started their Fabulous Pumpkin Patch many years ago with a ‘choose your own’ pumpkin patch. It has now evolved to become one of the largest Pumpkin Patches in the United Kingdom. They offer a terrific choice of activities sure to keep the entire family entertained, and they welcome tens of thousands of people each year! Their family farm in Lincolnshire produces Bell’s famed pumpkins, squashes, and gourds. Every year, they collect over a million of their well-known pumpkins!
Their breathtaking and one-of-a-kind displays provide wonderful photo possibilities for everyone, and their patch is unlike any other in the UK. Join them as they blast their pumpkins over the fields to raise money for charity as they are home to Britain’s Biggest Pumpkin Cannon.
After a long day at the pumpkin farm, visit their amazing pumpkin grocery and Halloween store to fill up on all of your favourite treats.
