Summer Events In The Towns Of Hertfordshire
It’s official, the towns of Hertfordshire are opening up again, and we can’t wait! Hertfordshire has an abundance of natural beauty that has allowed her residence to have some semblance of normality, but with summer around the corner, we thought it would be a good idea to hit you with some more suggestions as to how to spend this year’s summer, which already is looking to be a big one…
We would advise you to check an event’s website before travelling as plans may be subject to change in accordance with government guidelines regarding Covid-19.
Summer Evenings in Paradise
The imagery one gets from the name is that of coconuts on the beach in Seychelles or Jamaica, but you would be a mistake, it is the name of our very own Paradise Wildlife Park located in Broxbourne one of the quaint Towns of Hertfordshire, that will be hopefully reopening its doors till late on Friday and Saturday from 30th July to 28th August. However, it will not be business as usual, as there’ll be plenty of entertainment including African drummers, acoustic sets, wildlife stilt walkers and face painting.
St Albans Cathedral live music
We’re guessing you’ve been missing live music as much as we have, but whatever the case, the following bit of news should brighten your day. The International Organ Festival will take place in St Albans Cathedral from July 5th to 16th. It will include a collaboration between baritone Roderick Williams and pianist Susie Allan, as well as Momentum Artist Felix Kemp, performing Beethoven’s Violin Concerto with the Aurora Orchestra and organ recitals.
St Albans & Harpenden’s Markets
St Albans and Harpenden, popular towns of Hertfordshire, have some of the countries best food markets for you to experience. In the homeware sector, there is a strong emphasis on sustainability, to the point where your next cooking item may be a chair leg. If you want to eat healthily and enjoy a treat on Sunday, there will be a Farmers Market offering summer vegetables in Harpenden on June 27th.
Hatfield Park Living Crafts
Located in the Hatfield towns of Hertfordshire, Hatfield House is a wonderful example of finely built architecture, making it the ideal location for one of the country’s finest craft fairs, which will take place at Hatfield Park from Thursday, June 17th to Sunday, July 20th. You will not only be able to browse the numerous stalls, but you will also have the opportunity to see live demonstrations of strange and intriguing talents such as glassblowing or participate in stone carving or oil painting classes. You could wind yourself scheduling the entire four days due to the number of things to see and see!
Home Farm Elstree
If, like us, you’ve been missing out on cultural events both here in the UK and abroad, home farm Elstree has you covered. Although the term Home Farm may lead you to believe that this is being done via zoom, be assured that it is not the case. You’ll be able to participate in a range of hand-picked activities, including an alfresco dining experience, a live circus camp, and outdoor excursions for your children. Make your reservations for some of the most memorable summer event days and evenings!
