What’s on at Warner Bros. Studio Tour London
Located just outside of London, this iconic studio has been home to many beloved films and TV shows, making it a popular attraction for both locals and tourists alike.
So, what’s on at Warner Bros. Studio London? Let’s take a look.
Magical Mischief
20TH JANUARY – 16TH APRIL 2024
For its third year, Magical Mischief makes a comeback to the Studio Tour, honouring the cinematic ingenuity required to pull off the wizarding blunders and magical pranks seen in the Harry Potter film series.
The event will start in the Great Hall when attendees enter the famous set that is outfitted for the O.W.L. exams under Professor Umbridge’s vigilant supervision. This scene, which is a fan favourite from Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, includes exam stations and a swinging pendulum.
Find out how the Weasley twins’ interruption of the calm exams caused chaos, as portrayed in the films. To bring a splash of colour into the Great Hall, bags containing Weasleys’ newest product, Wildfire Whiz-bangs, will be hung from the ceiling by both Fred and George. More of their merchandise will be on show outside Weasleys’ Wizarding Wheezes, their Diagon Alley store.
Return to Azkaban
1ST MAY – 4TH SEPTEMBER 2024
Join them as they commemorate Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban’s 20th anniversary in 2024 with a brand-new feature. Learn new techniques for making films and have a look at beloved sets that are only available at the Studio Tour! These sets were constructed by the original directors!
They will be showcasing the noble art of divination during the special feature, so feel free to cast yourself into the future and open your mind. You will be able to examine the intricacies up close as the Divination classroom set, as seen when Harry, Ron, and Hermione attend their first lesson with Professor Trelawney, is on display for the first time during the Studio Tour. Keep an eye out for the Grim teacup, the original one!
Professor Sprout’s Greenhouse
ALWAYS ON
One of the most beloved sets from the Harry Potter film series is the greenhouse, where Professor Pomona Sprout gave the pupils their herbology courses. The greenhouse, which was constructed by the original Harry Potter producers, is home to a variety of exotic and magical plants. As part of an interactive exhibit, you will be able to enter the greenhouse like a Hogwarts student and pause to take out a potted Mandrake.
You will identify the Venomous Tentacula hanging from the ceiling as you move through the greenhouse since it is based on a scene from Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. Several methods were employed during filming to create the movement of the mystical plants. The Mandrakes’ movement was produced using animatronic controllers concealed beneath the table, whereas the Tentacula’s sinuous clutching movement was created by computer.
