Pennywell Farm, which has won several awards, is jam-packed with animals, activities, performances, and exhibits. It’s the South West’s largest activity farm, with something new occurring every hour if you simply just listen for the bell.
Your tour begins with a warm greeting in the main farmyard, where you can observe what’s going on by looking at the activity board. Take a picture using your smartphone to ensure you don’t miss anything! Then you may participate in exciting farm activities such as goat milking, ferret racing, deer feeding, egg gathering, and much more.
Pennywell Little Pigs are the world’s most famous miniature pigs, and they guarantee you’ve never seen anything like Pennywell pig racing. Come out and support your favourite porker in this one-of-a-kind event.
Hundreds of friendly farm animals, horses, and pets await your arrival. While exploring the farm, you’ll come across alpacas, goats and goat babies, lambs, and highland cattle. If you enjoy horses, you’ll adore Pennywell, where they have everything from big horses to small ponies, as well as a family of tiny donkeys that love to be petted. Connery, a retired horse from the Household Cavalry, likes a conversation as you pass by, and the Miniature Pony Centre is full of lovely ponies. Pond dipping is always popular, so grab a net and explore the amazing fauna that lives beneath the water’s surface, or visit the peaceful fishponds to feed the fish.
In Pennywell Tractor Town, budding young farmers may put their driving abilities to the test, while toddlers can explore their own play village. There are plenty of trampolines dotted around the farm, Crazy Golf, and an assault course for the truly energetic (which is great for moms and dads too!) The good news is that everything is included in the ticket price.
There is something for everyone with plenty of coffee and snack breaks, as well as light meals, cakes, ice creams, and wonderful Devon cream teas.
