The Heights of Abraham in Matlock Bath has announced that during the October Half Term, the award-winning attraction will host a Halloween Grotto within the Rutland Cavern for the first-ever time.
Belinda Broomsticks, the benevolent witch of Masson Hill, will lead tours underground at the Grotto, and every kid will get a present from the enchanted cauldron. From Saturday, October 23rd, through Halloween, October 31st, tours will run every 20 minutes between 12 p.m. and 2.40 p.m. Children who desire to visit the Grotto and get a gift must pay an extra £4, while accompanying adults are allowed free.
The narrative of Belinda’s hunt for the enchanted cauldron, that has been taken by the trolls who live beneath the hill and buried someplace in the caves, is told in the Halloween Grotto. Children are handed light wands and are invited to participate with the good witch on her underground hunt. When the cauldron is discovered, all of the children are given dreamcatcher presents as a thanks for their assistance.
The cavern has been enhanced with additional lighting and acoustic effects to provide a wonderful and unforgettable experience for youngsters. The Heights of Abraham’s David Thornton explains:
“We were really fortunate to be able to acquire the assistance of Belinda Broomsticks for Halloween; as you may know, witches are extremely busy around this time of year.” Belinda is visiting the Heights for the first time, and we’re thrilled that she’s consented to allow the younger guests to accompany her in the caves. They’re hoping the trolls will keep out of the way, however you never know what lurks around the next corner.”
Non-magical guests will have to travel into the Heights via cable car to partake in the Halloween excitement this October Half Term, while Belinda comes by Broomstick every day throughout half term.
