This bank holiday, help our rescued and endangered monkeys and apes by donating a bag of unopened nuts! These can be either shelled or unshelled but preferably unsalted. Every child who brings a bag of nuts with them will receive a FREE Monkey World badge. There’s plenty to do at
the park this bank holiday, with the continuation of the Monkey World Summer Challenge. For just £2.50, kids can sign up to the challenge which runs until October. Each challenger will receive a beautiful card to fill with stickers, and a Monkey World pencil. There are a huge list of fun challenges and activities to complete at the park, and those who manage to complete 5 before the end of October will receive a certificate and be entered into a prize draw! See the website for the full list of challenge dates, and purchase the challenge at the adoption centre at the park. With over 260 rescued and endangered monkeys and apes, three play areas and the summer challenge, you’ll have a great day at Monkey World this bank holiday!

Bristol
A must-visit destination on the edge of Bristol, the museum is housed in what was once a local brass factory: features from the original garden are still visible, including an unusual 30ft statue of Neptune and an incredible stone grotto.
Inside the museum, expect to discover an amazing array of exhibitions including Roman ruins, a World War Two air raid shelter, an incredible 112-year-old Douglas motorbike used during WW1, and items from the infamous case of John Horwood who was (some say) unfairly hanged in Bristol New Gaol in 1821.
Kingswood Heritage Museum is close to the Bristol to Bath cycle path, and is a great detour if you’re cycling between the two cities.
