As part of their Hyde Hall Live entertainment events, join RHS Garden Hyde Hall for an evening with the Peter Rudeforth Jazz Band, a London-based jazz band formed of the finest Dixieland, New Orleans and Swing musicians on the scene today.
Peter Rudeforth, originally from Aberystwyth in Wales, has been playing the trumpet from a young age. He trained classically at Cardiff University and The Royal Academy of Music in London, winning several awards and prizes.
He has since gone on to be a mainstay of the London jazz scene, playing with the Pasadena Roof Orchestra, Palm Court Theatre Orchestra, Temperance Seven, Charleston Chasers and the Piccadilly Dance Orchestra at London’s Savoy Hotel.
Peter has led his own band Pete’s Goodtime Jazz Band for more than 20 years and is now branching out under his own name to explore his great passion for jazz.
With a programme of uplifting, beautiful and rhythmically infectious music, Peter Rudeforth’s Jazz Band will be sure to provide an evening of entertaining sounds directly connected to the great British jazz bands.
