The Abbey, set in its own wooded grounds in the centre of the town, is a unique country home of different architectural styles constructed on the ruins of a previous nunnery. Visitors may immerse themselves in the ambience of the mediaeval chambers and cloister court, which evokes Abbey’s monastic history.
The museum honours former Lacock resident William Henry Fox Talbot, who is well known for his contributions to the development of photography.
