Inspired by natural forms and Coventry’s green soundscape, this musical destination in the Sensory Garden aims to bring communities together and combat loneliness. A place for calm reflection, creators Rosie & Bryony invite people to sit, listen and play with meditative instruments, nestled amongst nature. Accompanied by an atmospheric, site-specific soundtrack composed by Rosie.
The big reveal of Sound Seat is on Sunday 22 May as part of the Wildlife Gathering weekend. Artists Rosie & Bryony welcome everyone to drop in, bring a picnic and experience the sculpture anytime between 11am-4pm!
Alongside the installation there will be drop in Cyanotyping or “sun-printing” workshops from local artist Emily Doyle, to create some botanical bunting to dress the Sensory Garden in the War Memorial Park.
Sound Seat will be installed in the Sensory Garden for the foreseeable future for many to enjoy.
