TV series including Ray Mears’ Bushcraft, Ray Mears’ World of Survival, Extreme Survival and Ray Mears goes Walkabout have made him a household name over the past two decades.
He has spent his life learning these skills and founded Woodlore: The School of Wilderness Bushcraft, over 35 years ago. He was awarded the RGS Ness Award, the Royal Geographical Society’s most prestigious award for outstanding contribution to the field. Ray has also written 15 books, covering subjects from survival to foraging to his life in the wild.
