The Compass is a mesmerising spectacle of story, sound and light, offering an immersive, projection-mapped experience that brings to life how they navigate knowledge, and how scientific research can be a compass to guide their curiosity.

The Compass will be open to the public in Jubilee Square in Leicester city centre from 13 – 17 September and will offer attendees an opportunity to interact with the installation using mini projectors, making each person’s experience of The Compass unique.
The opening hours are:
Tuesday 13 September: 11am – 6pm
Wednesday 14 – Saturday 17 September: 11am – 10pm
The Compass is a drop-in activity and pre-booking is not required. Entry is free for all attendees.
The Compass is just one of the 100+ events and activities being held in Leicester next week as part of the British Science Festival.
With events on topics such as parenting, dark matter and microplastics, as well as exhibitions and takeover events at the Leicester Museum and Art Gallery, the LCB Depot and Leicester city centre, there is certain to be something for everyone at the Festival.
