Bradford Cathedral will welcome the esteemed choir of Great St Mary’s, Cambridge, for a special choral service on Sunday, 16th February 2025. This event offers a unique opportunity to experience the rich musical tradition of one of Cambridge’s most significant churches.
A Tradition of Excellence
Great St Mary’s is the University Church of the City of Cambridge, known for its deep-rooted history and strong musical heritage. The visiting choir is composed of children and young people from local schools who sing alongside adult volunteers. Together, they deliver at least three choral services each week during term time, fostering a vibrant tradition of liturgical music.
The choir will be led by Alexander Berry, Bradford Cathedral’s former Director of Music, adding an extra layer of significance to the occasion. Berry’s expertise and familiarity with the Cathedral will undoubtedly create a memorable and moving performance.
